IA will meet five to six global insurance and reinsurance giants in Zurich, says CEO Naji Al-Tamimi
Three global insurance companies have submitted applications to the Insurance Authority (IA) for licenses to operate in the Saudi market, Asharq TV reported, citing IA's CEO Naji Al-Tamimi.
On the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, Al-Tamimi said that the IA will meet in Zurich next Friday with five to six of the global insurance and reinsurance giants.
The IA aims to ensure strong competitiveness in the Saudi insurance sector and to provide customers with a wide range of choices in order to attract innovation and emerging solutions, he said.
Al-Tamimi affirmed that the IA is focused on attracting companies with adequate financial solvency and stability, highlighting that quality outweighs quantity in ensuring continuity, sustainability, and the delivery of appropriate solutions to customers.
