US natural gas stocks see less-than-expected fall: EIA

US natural gas inventories decreased by less than expected in the week ended Feb. 6, remaining below the five-year average of 2.34 trillion cubic feet, according to data released on Feb. 12, by the Energy Information Administration.

What does this mean? Withdrawals from US natural gas storage continued last week to meet rising heating demand, as a cold wave persisted across large parts of the country.
