Kuwaiti labor ministry suspended the entry permits of the staff of Chevron, who work under agreement with Saudi oil ministry, in the shared zone with Kuwait, Al-Watan newspaper reported.
The move follows a Saudi oil ministry decision to cease output at Al-Khafji oilfield a few days ago.
The Saudi side shut the oilfield, 50-50 owned by Aramco and Kuwait Gulf Oil Company, after the emission of harmful gases.
The newspaper said the chairman of Chevron Saudi Arabia address a letter to the Kuwaiti oil minister explaining financial losses due to the decision.
