TASI slides 1.1% to 11,544 pts, turnover at SAR 5.1B
Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell 1.1%, or 128 points, to close today, May 1, at a three-week low of 11,544 points.
Total turnover reached about SAR 5.1 billion.
Oil prices dropped more than 2%, with Brent crude falling below $60 per barrel and WTI crude below $57 per barrel.
Market Index
Al Rajhi Bank and Saudi National Bank declined 1% and 2% to SAR 96.50 and SAR 34.90, respectively.
ACWA Power shares lost over 2%, ending at SAR 314.
Saudi Cement and Modern Mills closed at SAR 43.40 (-6%) and SAR 37.60 (-4%), respectively, as they traded ex-dividends.
Dar Al Arkan, 2P, SAB, Emaar EC, Cenomi Retail, and SRMG also closed lower, falling 3% and 5%.
