Saudi equities declined for the fourth consecutive session on Monday fuelled by concerns over coronavirus pandemic and the US Federal Reserve's emergency move to cut rates back to near zero.
The benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) dropped 5.2%, or 328 points, to close at 5,960 points, bringing the aggregate index losses to more than 2,400 points, or 29% since the beginning of 2020 compared to the end of 2019.
Over 253 million shares, worth SAR 5.5 billion, were traded during the period, with the advance-decline ratio at 8:184.
Blue chip SABIC shed 4.4% to SAR 63.60, while banking major Al Rajhi fell 3.9% to SAR 51.70
Oil giant Saudi Aramco slipped 3.1% to SAR 28.80.
SISCO, Saudi Ceramics and Riyad Bank were all down over 9%.
Maharah declined 7.7% to SAR 54, as its net profit rose 22% year-on-year (YoY) for the fiscal year 2019.
SIECO closed limit down at SAR 38.70.
