Saudi Arabia's benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose for the third consecutive session, gaining 1.8%, or 113 points, to close at 6,268 points on Thursday.
The implementation of the fifth and final phase of Saudi Arabia's inclusion in FTSE Russell Emerging Market Index started today, March 19, with an inclusion factor of 25%.
Over 353 million shares, worth SAR 7.8 billion, were traded during the period, with the advance-decline ratio at 148:36.
Blue chip SABIC rose 3.9% to SAR 66.60, while banking major Al Rajhi gained 1.4% to SAR 52.70.
Oil giant Saudi Aramco jumped 1.2% to SAR 29.35.
Saudi Electricity surged 3.4% to SAR 15.10, after the company CEO Fahad Al-Sudairi said it will launch a new subsidiary focusing on power generation.
Arabian Centres was the top gainer, rising 9.2% to SAR 21.38.

On the other hand, Lazurde fell more than 3% at SAR 10.76, recording its lowest close since listing on the market.
Farm Superstores, Red Sea and Mouwasat were down between 3% and 4%.
Baazem was the top loser, shedding 4.4% to SAR 36.
