TASI falls 1.2% to 11,883 pts, turnover at SAR 5.5B
Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 1.2%, or 142 points, lower at 11,883 points today, April 3.
Total turnover reached about SAR 5.5 billion.
The index’s decline coincided with oil prices falling amid concerns over weak global demand, driven by fears of a potential economic recession following new tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump on all countries.
Additionally, the market resumed trading after the Eid Al-Fitr holidays.
Market Index
Most of the stocks declined, led by Saudi Aramco and Al Rajhi Bank closing at SAR 26.30 (-2%) and SAR 100.60 (-1%), respectively.
Saudi National Bank closed at SAR 35.20 (-2%).
TADCO, JAZADCO, Nama Chemicals, Chemanol, Raydan, MEPCO, Entaj and Maharah fell between 5% and 9%. These companies announced their financial results during the Eid holiday.

On the other hand, Fitaihi rose by more than 9% to SAR 4.43, with more than 14 million shares changing hands.
Zamil closed at SAR 34.85 (+7%).
Albilad Gold ETF closed at an all-time high of SAR 16.80 (+3%) after gold prices surged to historic levels.
