Jarir chairman says e-commerce, showrooms boost company sales

Jarir Marketing Co.’s showrooms and online business has significantly improved the company’s sales, and enhanced its position to maintain market share, chairman Mohammed Al-Agil told CNBC Arabia in an interview.

 

“Online business is key for the company as it made a lot of improvements in this domain, where online sales is expected to grow by 8 percent over the next two years,” Al-Agil said.

 

He noted that Jarir also plans to open new showrooms, adding that “the next phase will see the company opening new showrooms with different designs, and may be in small cities.”

 

Al-Agil had said earlier that e-commerce doubled during second quarter, as well as online sales grew 5 percent of the total sales in 2019.
