Saudi Arabia imposed a 24-hour curfew on the cities of Riyadh, Tabuk, Dammam, Dhahran and Hofuf, Jeddah, Taif, Qatif and Khobar as of today, April 6 until further notice, the Saudi Press Agency reported citing a Ministry of Interior source.
Residents are allowed to fulfill their necessary needs only, such as food and medicines between 6 a.m. until 3 p.m., but are encouraged to use delivery services.
Commercial activity is restricted to grocery stores, pharmacies, banks and gas stations. Cars can only carry one passenger at a time.
The source added that curfew exemptions still apply to those working in vital public and private sectors.
The Kingdom has imposed a 24-hour daily curfew in Makkah and Madinah, starting from April 2 until further notice to control the coronavirus outbreak.
