Saudi Arabia records 3,036 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday

The total number of coronavirus cases in Saudi Arabia increased by 3,036 to 223,144 as of Wednesday, July 8, the Ministry of Health announced today.

 

Recoveries reached 3,211, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 158,050, representing 71% of total registered cases.

 

Forty-two new death cases were reported, while the death toll hit 2,059.

 

The total active cases currently receiving treatment amounted to 60,035 cases, of which 2,263 are critical.

 

In addition, a total of 288 cases were reported in Riyadh, followed by Jeddah (243), Taif (187), Al Hufof (171), and Makkah (142).

 

A total of 42,968 tests were conducted today, bringing the total number of tests to 2.02 million.
