Saudi Arabia records 1,109 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday

Saudi Arabia recorded 1,109 new COVID-19 cases today, Aug. 23 bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 307,479, the Ministry of Health said.

 

Recoveries reached 1,702, raising the total number of recovered cases to 280,143 (91% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

The Kingdom reported 30 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 3,649.

 

Active cases totaled 23,687, of which 1,644 cases are critical.

 

Makkah reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 65 each, followed by Madinah (61), Jazan (57), and Jeddah (52).

 

The Kingdom conducted 52,313 new tests, bringing up the total number of tests to 4.67 million.
