Dubai Airports said that the national carriers of the UAE and Saudi Arabia have resumed their scheduled flights between the two countries this week, following a suspension of more than five months.
Last Sunday, Saudi Airlines resumed its services, with up to five daily flights to link Dubai, Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam.
Dubai Airports stated that there are plans to operate more connecting flights between Dubai and Saudi cities, to be carried out by Saudi’s Flynas, Emirates Airline and flydubai, in the coming days and weeks.
Saudi Arabia was the second largest destination dealing with Dubai International Airport. The number of Saudi passengers to Dubai reached more than 6.3 million in 2019.
The Kingdom recently decided to resume permitting Gulf nationals and non-Saudis who hold valid residence and visit visas to enter and exit the Kingdom.
It also decided to resume phased Umrah yesterday.
