Saudi Arabia records 492 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday

Saudi Arabia recorded 492 new COVID-19 cases today, Oct. 1, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 335,097, the Ministry of Health said.

 

Recoveries reached 592, raising the total number of recovered cases to 319,746 (representing 95% of total recorded cases).

 

The Kingdom reported 26 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 4,794.

 

Active cases totaled 10557, of which 993 cases are critical.

 

Al Madinah reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 55, followed by Yanbu (52), Jeddah and Makkah (39) each, Dhahran (27), and Al Hofuf and Riyadh (26) each.

 

The Kingdom conducted 49,535 new tests, bringing up the total number of tests to 6.54 million.
