Wafa names new audit committee head

Saudi Indian Company for Cooperative Insurance’s (Wafa Insurance) board of directors approved the appointment of Abdul-Wahab Ahmed Abed as head of the audit committee, for the current board term ending Jan. 18, 2023, the insurer said in a bourse statement.

Abed will be replacing Abdulrahman Issa Al Omaym, the statement added.

The appointment is pending the approval of the upcoming general meeting.

Abed has a master’s degree in business from Bentley University.
