The Diriyah Gate project includes the establishment of 30 new hotels, with the first phase including 19 hotels, Jerry Inzerillo, CEO of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA), told The Forbes on the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai.

 

The first phase of the project will be launched by the end of 2021, and several other assets will be unveiled in the first quarter of 2022, including 19 restaurants.

 

Construction of the first hotel and the first museum, from among nine museums, has started, Inzerillo added.

 

According to data compiled by Argaam, DGDA commenced in June 2020 work on the first phase of the SAR 75 billion Diriyah Gate megaproject. The masterplan spans an area of ​​7 square kilometers, and includes several tourist, entertainment and other destinations.
