Tadawul halts trading on Arabian Shield, Alahli Takaful ahead of event disclosure

The Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) suspended trading on shares of Arabian Shield Cooperative Insurance Co. and Alahli Takaful Co. as of today, July 12, for one trading session.

 

The suspension, which comes in accordance with the listing rules, was requested by both the companies to disclose a material event.

 

Trading on shares of the two companies will resume on Tuesday, July 13, Tadawul added.

 

According to data compiled by Argaam, Arabian Shield and Alahli Takaful signed, in April, a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) to assess feasibility of a potential merger.
