Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Interior announced that all citizens must receive the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine to travel aboard, as of today, Aug. 9.

Individuals under the age of 12 years are excluded from the decision, provided that they present before traveling an insurance policy approved by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) covering the COVID-19 risks outside the Kingdom.

Citizens who recovered from the coronavirus are also exempted from the decision, provided that they have spent less than six months from their infections.

The decision came in accordance with the preventive and precautionary measures recommended by the Ministry of Health, and as part of the efforts to control the pandemic. It aims to protect citizens from the virus variants.
