US, UK stock markets off today for New Year holiday

Trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and London Stock Exchange (LSE) was suspended today, Jan. 2, in observance of the New Year's Day holiday.

 

The stock markets will resume work tomorrow, Jan. 3.

 

The Dow Jones Industrial Average and FTSE 100 index ended Friday’s trading in the red. The former shed 8.8% in 2022, while the latter gained 1.2% during the year.
