International oil rig count declines in December: Baker Hughes

The international rig count decreased by 55 units in December to 1,739 from 1,794 in November, data from energy services firm Baker Hughes showed.

 

The oil rigs in the Middle East dropped by 11 units month-on-month (MoM) to 336, but rose by 13 year-on-year (YoY).

 

Meanwhile, the international oil and gas rig count, except for the US and Canada, dropped by 23 units MoM to 955.
