Bupa Arabia renews health insurance contract with SABIC

Bupa Arabia for Cooperative Insurance Co. received on Feb. 9 the approval from Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) to renew the medical coverage contract, according to a statement to Tadawul.

Under the contract, Bupa Arabia will provide health insurance services to SABIC’s employees and their family members for one year, starting July 5, 2025.

 

The total value of the contract is expected to exceed 10% of the gross written premiums (GWPs) for 2024, the statement added.

 

The contract will likely reflect positively on Bupa Arabia’s financial statements for 2025 and 2026.

 

According to Argaam data, the GWPs for Bupa Arabia amounted to SAR 18.39 billion.
