Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture launched construction tenders for five agricultural city projects in Al-Baha, through Furas platform.

These tenders include the establishment of an agricultural city for prickly pears and another four for coffee, according to a ministerial statement today, March 19.

The prickly pear agricultural city in Al-Baha will span an area exceeding 2.2 million square meters (sqm).

Meanwhile, the four coffee agricultural cities will be established in Baljurashi Governorate in Al-Baha, covering a total area of more than 2.3 million sqm, to cultivate Arabica coffee trees in four different locations.

These investment opportunities came as part of the ministry’s efforts to achieve sustainable economic development by boosting self-sufficiency in local agricultural products, enhancing local production, and supporting private sector participation, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, the statement added.
