Saudi Arabia launches 2 Orange Line stations

The Riyadh Public Transport Platform announced that the Sikkat Al-Hadeed and Jarir stations on the Orange Line were launched today, April 19.

 

The Orange Line stretches from East Riyadh to West Riyadh, with a total length of 41 kilometers. It spans from Jeddah Road in the west to the Second Eastern Ring Road, passing along the Khashm Al-An area in the east.

 

In November 2024, King Salman launched the Riyadh Metro project, which includes six metro lines with a length of 176 km, as well as 85 stations, including four main stations.

 

The six lines were operated sequentially, starting with the operation of the Blue Line (1), Yellow Line (4), and Purple Line (6) on Dec. 1. Meanwhile, the Red Line (2) and Green Line (5) started operations on Dec. 15. Finally, the Orange Line (3) were launched on Jan. 5, 2025.
