Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Tourism raised financial support under the Human Resources Development Fund’s (HRDF) Employment Support Program from 30% to 50%. The increase applies to employees in 43 tourism-related professions and activities licensed by the ministry.
The move is part of Ahlaha program and aims to increase Saudi participation in the tourism sector. It also seeks to ensure job sustainability and stability for national workers, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The ministry said this adjustment promotes ongoing efforts to make tourism jobs more appealing to Saudi nationals. It works in coordination with government entities to increase localization in tourism roles.
In addition to financial support, the program offers advanced and varied training programs inside and outside the Kingdom to prepare and qualify Saudi talent for tourism sector roles.
