US President Donald Trump on Sunday hailed overnight airstrikes on Iran as a “spectacular success,” warning Tehran that further attacks would follow unless it agrees to an immediate ceasefire.
In a phone interview with Reuters, Trump described the operation as a tremendous success and warned that Iran must agree to an immediate peace or face further strikes.
Earlier on Sunday, Trump said the United States had carried out airstrikes targeting three nuclear facilities in Iran—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
Iranian state media reported that the targeted sites did not contain any radioactive materials, adding that authorities had evacuated the facilities ahead of the attacks.
