Israeli official retracts claim of strike on Bushehr nuclear site

An Israeli military official said on June 19 it was a mistake for a spokesperson to earlier claim that Israel had struck Iran’s Bushehr nuclear site.

 

According to Reuters, the official confirmed that Israel targeted the Natanz, Isfahan, and Arak nuclear facilities in Iran, but declined to confirm or deny whether Bushehr—home to an Iranian nuclear reactor—was among the targets.

 

The clarification came after Russia earlier in the day urged Israel to halt attacks on the Bushehr nuclear plant, where Russian specialists are stationed.
