China urges its citizens to immediately leave Iran amid rising tensions

The Chinese government has called on its citizens to leave Iran as soon as possible amid escalating tensions between Tehran and Tel Aviv, following a warning from US President Donald Trump urging residents of the Iranian capital to evacuate immediately.

 

In an online statement, the Chinese embassy in Tehran said it had coordinated with Iranian authorities to facilitate the departure of Chinese nationals, stressing the urgency of immediate evacuation due to the deteriorating security situation.

 

Trump, in a post on the Truth Social platform, urged Tehran residents to leave the city immediately, signaling an imminent escalation in the conflict with Israel and reiterating that Iran will not be allowed to possess a nuclear weapon.
