Kuwaiti and Iraqi authorities announced on Monday evening the closure of their airspace until further notice, following Iran's missile strikes targeting the US Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said in a statement carried by the state’s official news agency KUNA that the closure is a precautionary measure coordinated with local and international authorities, with all necessary procedures being taken.

Iraq’s Ministry of Transport also announced the closure of the country’s airspace to all air traffic, including over the southern region, according to statements made by the ministry’s spokesperson to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
