Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that Israel had agreed to a ceasefire with Iran in coordination with US President Donald Trump.
Netanyahu told members of his security cabinet that Israel had achieved its military objectives during the 12-day campaign, including neutralizing threats from Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs.
He said Israeli forces had struck Iranian military leadership, targeted government sites, and established air superiority over Tehran, according to the Associated Press.
Netanyahu warned that Israel would respond forcefully to any violation of the ceasefire.
