Intercity bus trips surpass 44,000 in Q2 2025: TGA

The Transport General Authority (TGA) announced today, July 28, that intercity bus services in Saudi Arabia recorded over 44,000 trips during the second quarter of 2025, reflecting the growing demand for this sector in the country.

 

According to the statistics released by TGA, more than 958,000 passengers used intercity buses during this period.

 

Makkah region led in terms of passenger numbers, with 226,890 passengers, followed by Riyadh with 222,960, then the Eastern Province with 144,970, and Madinah with 69,590, the report showed.

 

Furthermore, the Aseer region recorded 60,450 passengers, followed by Tabuk with 50,350, Jazan with 32,460, and finally, Qassim with 24,820.
