Baker Hughes said that the total number of oil and gas rigs are operating in Saudi Arabia exceeds 230.
In a statement to Asharq News, the company clarified that the number of active rigs in the Kingdom during July stood at approximately 20 oil rigs and around 50 gas rigs.
While this figure indicates the drilling activity in the country, it does not reflect the total number of operational rigs engaged in other activities, such as production testing, or maintenance.
Baker Hughes’ monthly data showed a decline in the number of oil exploration rigs in the Kingdom, reaching 20 rigs in July.
The company indicated that its prior global rig count did not include production testing rigs, non-rotary rigs, completion and workover rigs, as well as rigs still in the process of mobilization to their respective work sites.
