Preliminary ruling dismisses lawsuit filed against Eastern Province Municipality: Al Arabia

Arabian Contracting Services Co. (Al Arabia) said that a preliminary court ruling was issued on Aug. 10 dismissing the lawsuit filed against the Eastern Province Municipality regarding the cancellation of a previously awarded tender.

The case is related to the cancellation of a decision to reoffer the tender for designing, operating, maintaining, and installing advertising billboards in Dammam, Al Khobar, and Dhahran — a project the company had initially won via the Forsah platform.
 
In a statement to Tadawul, the company said it filed a case with the Administrative Court in Dammam to overturn the municipality’s decision to reoffer the tender after Al Arabia was declared the winner. 
 
The company plans to appeal within the legal timeframe and will announce any updates.
 
Al Arabia won the 10-year contract in June 2023, according to Argaam data.
