Cluster2: Passengers up 10% in H1 2025, flights 7% higher

Cluster2 Co., which manages the operation of Saudi airports, said the number of passengers increased 10.4% year-on-year (YoY) to 9.4 million in H1 2025.

 

The number of flights also rose by 7% YoY to 80,200 in the six-month period, it added.

 

Cluster2, launched on January 1, 2022, operates and develops the Kingdom's local, regional and tourist airports. It aims to manage and operate 22 airports throughout the Kingdom to meet targets of the tourism industry and contribute to the development of the aviation sector.

 

The airports, managed and operated by the company, are Al-Ula International Airport, Najran International Airport, Bisha Airport, Arar Airport, Sharurah Airport, Qurayyat Airport, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Airport in Jazan, King Saud bin Abdulaziz Airport in Al-Baha, Hail International Airport, NEOM Bay International Airport, Taif International Airport, Abha International Airport, Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Qassim, and Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Airport in Tabuk. This is in addition to Prince Abdul Mohsen bin Abdulaziz Airport in Yanbu, Al Wajh Airport, Dawadmi Airport, Rafha Airport, Al Jouf International Airport, Tarif Airport, Wadi Al Dawasir Airport, and Rabigh Airport.

 

The company detailed, in its H1 2025 operating performance report, the number of passengers as well as flights.

Air cargo volumes grew 43.4% YoY to 730,000 kilograms during H1 2025.

 

Passengers flying through Arar International Airport reached approximately 59.450, on 195 flights, with 1,276 buses operated to efficiently transport pilgrims. Meanwhile, Taif Airport operated 62 charter flights to and from Iran and Iraq, while Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Qassim handled nine cargo aircraft with a total of 109.130 freight kilograms.

 

Three new routes were launched; (Taif–Alexandria, Abha–Doha, and NEOM Bay–London Gatwick). Seasonal flights included (Tabuk–Trabzon, Abha–Cairo, Al Baha–Dammam, Riyadh and Jeddah, Qassim–Sarajevo, and Trabzon Rize Artvin). Charter flights were also launched from Taif to Tehran, Ahvaz, Khorramabad, and Baghdad, as well as from Arar, Qurayyat, and Qassim to select cities to support pilgrimage traffic.

 

Cluster2 is a subsidiary of Matarat Holding, established on April 13, 2013, which manages and operates 27 airports across the Kingdom.

 

Through its subsidiaries - Riyadh Airports, Jeddah Airports, Dammam Airports, and Cluster2 - Airports Holding aims to develop the Kingdom's airports and advance their performance in pace with the rapid development being witnessed by the Kingdom. In addition, the company supports sustainable development in line with the National Aviation Strategy under Vision 2030’s National Strategy for Transport and Logistics.
