Al Sagr Insurance names Rashid Al-Rasheed as Vice Chairman

Al Sagr Cooperative Insurance Co.’s board, on Aug. 13, appointed Rashid Al-Rasheed as Vice Chairman and Chairman of the risk committee (independent member), to complete the current board term ending on Nov. 22, 2026.

 

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said that Al-Rasheed holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from King Saud University and has over 20 years of professional experience in the financial and investment sector.

He has held several leadership positions, including Chief Financial Officer at BNY Mellon Saudi Arabia and Finance Director for several major banks and investment companies.

 

Al-Rasheed currently serves as a board member of several listed and unlisted companies, and chairs various audit and specialized committees.

 

He is also a holder of the CME-1 Certification from the Capital Market Authority (CMA).

 

Other official authorities approved the appointed today, Sept. 3, the company said.

 

The board’s approval is not final and will be discussed in the upcoming general assembly meeting.
