Saudi Arabia's FDI reaches SAR 119B in 2024

Saudi Arabia's foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows reached SAR 119 billion in 2024, marking a 24% increase compared to SAR 96 billion in 2023, according to the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).

 

Meanwhile, FDI outflows rose to SAR 39 billion in 2024, compared to SAR 10 billion in 2023.

 

However, net FDI inflows declined by 6% to SAR 80 billion versus SAR 86 billion in 2023.

FDI inflows in 2024 exceeded the National Investment Strategy target of SAR 109 billion by 9%.

 

In 2023, FDI inflows represented 2.4% of nominal GDP, meeting the target set under the National Investment Strategy.
