Saudi merchandise imports rise 13% to SAR 235.7B in Q2 2025

Saudi Arabia’s merchandise imports increased 13% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 235.7 billion in Q2 2025, according to data issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
 
Meanwhile, merchandise imports retreated 4% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ), or nearly SAR 9.3 billion.
 

­­Machinery and mechanical appliances, electrical equipment, and parts thereof accounted for 29% of total imports in Q2 2025. Vehicles, aircraft, vessels, and associated transport equipment came in second with 13%.

China accounted for 27.4% of Saudi Arabia’s total imports in Q2 2025, valued at SAR 64.63 billion, followed by the US with 8.5%, the UAE with 6.2% and India with 4.8%.
