Modern Mills Co. received the final approval from the General Food Security Authority (GFSA) to commence operations at the new flour mill in Al-Jumum branch (Mill C), having fulfilled all the necessary requirements.

In a statement to Tadawul, Modern Mills said this expansion will ramp up the current production capacity by 104% for Al-Jumum branch from 1,200 MT/day to 2,450 MT/day, bringing the company's overall flour production capacity from 3,450 MT/day to 4,700 MT/day.

 

This strategic initiative is part of the company’s long-term growth plan to meet rising demand in both domestic and international markets, the statement added.

 

Additionally, the expansion supports the company’s strategic objectives of strengthening its market position, enhancing operational resilience, and delivering long-term value to shareholders.

 

According to data available on Argaam, Modern Mills began expansion work at Al-Jumum plant in Makkah in 2022, with expectations to begin operations at the new production line in 2025. The estimated cost of the project is SAR 240 million.
