Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy announced the start of the qualification phase for applicants in the licensing tenders for the establishment, ownership, and operation of natural gas distribution networks across five industrial cities Kingdom-wide.
The sites are in these locations: Sudair Industrial and Business City, Al-Kharj Industrial City, and the First, Second, and Third Industrial Cities in Jeddah, according to a ministerial statement.
The ministry invited interested parties to get in touch via email (gnrfp@moenergy.gov.sa) to obtain the qualification manual no later than Oct. 10. The deadline for submitting qualification documents is Nov. 29.
Qualified applicants will be invited at a later date to submit their technical bids, in accordance with the provisions of the Energy Supply Law and the Natural Gas and Its Liquids Regulations, said the ministry.
The move coincides with the third expansion project of the Saudi main gas network, which will help achieve the goals of the Liquid Fuel Displacement Program, within the framework of Vision 2030.
These are part of the efforts aimed at maximizing the economic, environmental, and social benefits of the Kingdom’s petroleum resources.
