Morabaha Marina Financing Co.’s (MRNA) board of directors appointed Yousif Al-Yousef as Acting CEO for the three-month term starting today, Oct. 1.
The company explained in a statement to Tadawul that the appointment followed the receipt of the Saudi Central Bank’s (SAMA) non-objection on Oct. 1. The move was earlier approved by the board in its meeting held on July 21.
Al-Yousef currently serves as CFO of MRNA and brings over 18 years of experience in finance, accounting, and governance. He had previously held leadership roles at Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (Saudi Aramco) and Aloula Aviation Co. (formerly Mukamalah Aviation Co.), besides gaining practical experience at Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC).
He also holds several professional and academic qualifications, including Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from Washington, US, Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), a master’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Technology Sydney, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Imam Muhammad ibn Saud University.
This is in addition to being a graduate of the Executive Leadership Development Program (CFO Track) offered by INSEAD Business School.
