Prices of 82 goods and services in Saudi Arabia declined year-on-year (YoY) in September, while prices of 80 items rose and seven remained unchanged, data from the Saudi General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) showed.
Out of a total of 169 goods and services across 10 categories, African medium lemons saw the steepest increase, surging 15.29% YoY, followed by Luqmati coffee beans, which rose 14.31%.
On the other hand, local medium potatoes recorded the sharpest drop, down 20.04% YoY, while imported round onions fell 16.26%.
In the housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels group, prices of 14 items rose in September, while 21 fell.
In the recreation and culture category, prices of four items, including pet-related products and other cultural services, increased, while one item declined.
In clothing and footwear, prices of six items rose YoY in September, while four fell.
In personal care and social protection services, one item saw a YoY increase, while prices of two others declined.
In household furniture, appliances, and maintenance, prices of two items rose and two fell YoY.
Prices of three health services increased YoY in September 2025.
In transport services, one item saw a price rise while another declined.
Meanwhile, prices of restaurant meals, hotel rooms, and furnished apartments rose YoY, while one item in the category saw a decline.
Under the tobacco category, the price of Marlboro cigarettes edged slightly lower YoY.
