GAFT says the duties are imposed for five calendar years on Chinese imports of titanium dioxide, excluding anatase-type applications
The Saudi General Authority for Foreign Trade’s (GAFT) board of directors issued a decision to impose final anti-dumping duties on imports of titanium dioxide (TiO₂) — a product used in various industries such as paints, plastics, inks, and rubber — originating from or exported from China.
Under the decision, the duties are imposed for five calendar years on imports of titanium dioxide (surface pigments) and other chemicals containing 80% or more by weight of titanium dioxide.
Anatase-type titanium dioxide, used in specific applications like food, cosmetics, and medicine, is exempted from the imposed duties.
The final anti-dumping duties will be collected on the product under consideration, based on the timeline attached to the GAFT decision and in accordance with the product description specified in the public notice of the final investigation results.
The decision and the public announcement of the final investigation results will be published in the Official Gazette. It takes effect on the day following its publication, remaining valid for five calendar years.
The duties will apply to imports of the product that were not cleared of customs before the effective date.
