Al Masane Al Kobra Mining Co. (AMAK) obtained an exploitation mining license from the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources for a site in Najran Province to extract gold ore.

The license is valid for 10 years, covering a total site area of 9.84 square kilometres, the company said in a statement to Tadawul.

The license was issued in accordance with the Mining Investment Law, enacted by Royal Decree No. M/140 and its executive regulations.

AMAK expects mining operations to commence in Q1 2026, marking a new milestone in the company’s growth journey and aligning with its expansion strategy.

The company said that the mine license area is located adjacent to its Guyan mine license.

The proximity enhances the sustainability of the Guyan processing plant and contributes to lower capital and operating costs, improved resource efficiency, and optimal use of shared infrastructure, the statement added.
