Saudi Arabia’s non-oil business confidence index fell 0.6% in January 2026 from December 2025, according to data from the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).

 

The index reached 61.6 points last month, marginally down from 62 points in December 2026, reflecting continued optimism in the business sector, supported by confidence in the stability of the kingdom’s economic activity and continued growth across various industries.

 

GASTAT defines the business confidence index as a measure of optimism and pessimism about future developments in the non-oil sector, based on surveys covering output, inputs, employment, as well as business development and expansion activities.

The month-on-month (MoM) non-oil business confidence index in the industrial sector fell 0.8% to 61.7 points, the services sector dropped 1.2% to 61.3 points, and the construction sector declined 0.3%.
