Trump says higher oil prices ‘a very small price to pay’ for ‘safety and peace’

Donald Trump described the sharp rise in oil prices early Monday as a “small price to pay” for eliminating the Iranian threat and achieving peace.

 

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said short-term oil prices, which will drop rapidly when the destruction of the Iran nuclear threat is over, is a very small price to pay for USA, and world, safety and peace.”

 

His remarks came shortly after oil prices surged past $100 at the market open and continued climbing toward $120 following the comments.
