Saudi Arabia issues 161 industrial licenses, 107 factories begin ops in January

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 161 new industrial licenses in January, while 107 factories began production during the same month, according to a report by the ministry’s National Center for Industrial and Mining Information.
 
The newly licensed projects represent investments exceeding SAR 3.14 billion and are expected to create more than 1,419 jobs across various regions of the Kingdom, according to data from the Ministry’s National Industrial and Mining Information Center.
 
Meanwhile, factories that commenced operations in January accounted for SAR 1.11 billion in investments and are projected to generate 1,437 jobs.
