Matarat Holding, in cooperation with the National Center for Privatization &PPP (NCP), announced today the launch of the prequalification phase for companies interested in developing Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Qassim.
A total of 89 companies are participating in the tender, including 55 Saudi companies and 34 international companies, the company stated on the “X” platform.
It added that the project includes the development and operation of the new Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz International Airport.
This covers design, financing, construction, transfer, operation, and maintenance, as well as building a passenger terminal and supporting service facilities.
It also includes the development of airside infrastructure, such as the runway, taxiways, and aprons.
According to Argaam’s data, Matarat, in cooperation with NCP, announced in February 2026 the launch of the Expression of Interest (EOI) phase for the development of Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Qassim under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model (Build–Transfer–Operate), under the umbrella of the Supervisory Committee for Privatization in the Transport and Logistics Sector.
Matarat Holding oversees the operation of 27 airports across the Kingdom through its subsidiaries, including: Riyadh Airports Co., Jeddah Airports Co., Dammam Airports Co., and Cluster 2 Airports Co.
