Khalid Al-Falih named SOCPA Chairman

Al-Falih said he will work with leaders in the accounting sector to develop the profession and enhance its contribution to the national economy, positioning it as a key enabler of economic growth and a major supporter of transparency and trust in the financial sector and business environment.

Al-Falih also visited SCOPA headquarters, where he reviewed a presentation on the organization’s regulatory and professional roles, as well as its efforts to develop the accounting and auditing profession, improve professional performance quality, enhance the reliability of financial statements and reports, and develop national talent.

He also met with the organization’s leadership to review the key achievements made in the accounting sector over the past decade in line with Saudi Vision 2030, in addition to ongoing initiatives and the organization’s 2026-2030 strategy. Al-Falih stressed the importance of building on existing achievements, accelerating professional and regulatory development, strengthening the organization’s role in improving the reliability of financial reporting and the quality of professional practices, and empowering national talent to enhance the profession’s standing and economic impact.
