Cabinet reviews Saudi Arabia’s development achievements

The Cabinet reviewed during its session today in Jeddah, chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Kingdom’s development pathways and national achievements, along with its advanced positions in global indicators and rankings. It also highlighted the continued achievements of Saudi Vision 2030 strategies and programs across various fields.

The Cabinet praised Saudi Arabia’s progress in the IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook 2026, ranking 13th globally and third among G20 countries while the Kingdom also advanced across all main pillars and ranked among the top 10 in 74 sub-indicators, reflecting the effectiveness of the Saudi competitiveness model.

It noted that the Kingdom’s continued first-place global ranking in the “Cybersecurity” indicator for the third consecutive year reflects its leadership in the sector, driven by local, regional, and international achievements, digital transformation initiatives, technology localization, and global cooperation.

The Cabinet also praised the achievements of the Health Sector Transformation Program in building a more integrated and efficient healthcare system focused on human health, including improving access to services, enhancing quality, strengthening comprehensive care, expanding healthy cities, and promoting prevention and sustainable healthy lifestyles.

The Cabinet highlighted the strong performance of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) in 2025, reinforcing its role in supporting non-oil economic growth and boosting the attractiveness of industrial, mining, logistics, and other sectors, while also emphasizing their contribution to investment growth, exports, and local content.

The Cabinet approved two labor recruitment agreements between Saudi Arabia and Nepal and the Federal Republic of Nigeria, approving an initiative to design and build the first joint Saudi-Egyptian satellite, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The Cabinet further approved a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Saudi Arabia and the United States in education and training and authorized the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, or his delegate, to sign a draft MoU in the municipal and housing sectors with China’s Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
