Bahri Signs an Agreement with Qatalum

The National Shipping Co. of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) announced signing an agreement with Qatar Aluminium Company “QATALUM” on Wednesday 21/3/2012, with an estimated value of SAR 50,625,000, to transport aluminium shipments from Qatar to USA on each voyage of the company vessels for a period of one year with an option to extend it further by another year.

It is also possible that NSCSA move other aluminum shipments for QATALUM from Qatar to Turkey and Italy, the company said in a filing to Tadawul.

"Prior to signing this contract, NSCSA already transported 15 shipments of aluminium to USA as a trial basis.

These shipments are moved from the Port of Mesaieed in Qatar to the port of Houston, Baltimore and Savannah in the USA.

It will reflect positively on the company's financial results of 2012", said an Engr. Saleh Nasser Al-Jasser, Chief Executive Officer of The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia.
