Saudi Acwa to help build $10 bln power plants in Egypt

Saudi Acwa Power International has signed several memorandums of understanding (MoU) with the Egyptian government to develop power generation projects at a value of about $10 billion.

 

The agreements also include partnerships with United Arab Emirates-based Masdar and General Electric (GE), in addition to some international finance institutions.

 

The projects, which will be implemented by Acwa, will include producing electricity from natural gas, clean coal, and renewable energy, according to a statement from the Egyptian government.
