Qualified foreign investors (QFIs) will start getting licenses that will allow them to directly buy Saudi stocks within the next few weeks, Reuters reported, citing Tadawul CEO Adel al-Ghamdi.
“We have received six requests from major institutions,’’ he was quoted as saying. ‘’The first transaction by a QFI will take place today.’’
The kingdom’s $566 billion stock market opened its doors on Monday to foreign institutional investors.
